Cessna 172: Families contend with pathologist advice

Update: 4:26PM MERELESITA Lutu was not taken to the church for her final rites.

The Lutu family had to contend with pathologist advice when planning funeral rites for their child.

The late 20-year-old died when the training aircraft she was flying crashed in dense jungle on the Delaikoro mountain range in Vanua Levu on Monday, February 26.

It took the search and recovery team until Friday, March 2 to retrieve her body and that of her instructor Iliesa Tawalo and store them at the Labasa hospital.

The late aviator was buried today.
