Update: 1:21PM SOME cases of alleged Police brutality are presently before the Courts in Fiji.

Minister for Defence and National Planning Ratu Inoke Kubuabola made this known in Parliament today while responding to a supplementary question posed by Opposition MP Niko Nawaikula.

Mr Nawaikula had asked how the ministry was disciplining Police officers who were alleged to have been involved in brutality towards members of the public.

"Some of the cases are going through the Court right now," Ratu Inoke said.

"For example, the Nadarivatu case, the investigations are just being completed and is in the process of being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions office."
