Teamwork for Fiji Warriors

TEAMWORK will lead to victory says Fiji Warriors captain Mosese Voka as they prepare for the World Rugby Pacific Challenge round one at the ANZ Stadium today.

Voka, who led the Telecom Fijian Warriors to defend the World Rugby Pacific Challenge title last year after defeating Samoa A 48-25, said Samoa would try and repay them.

"Both teams have prepared well, all players are ready to face each other on the field today but it all comes down to how you follow the game plan," he said.

"It is another new year, new season with new players joining the squad and everybody has a responsibility to perform and for me I stand on getting my players on the field and playing rugby at its best.

"We met Samoa last year and we know what they are capable of.

"As we all predict, it won't be an easy game, we know they have regrouped and will come firing at us today and we got to be ready for all those tough counter-attacks."

The Fiji Airways Drua flanker said to maintain discipline was an area they would need to watch out for in today's match.

"We can't afford to be given yellow or red cards and giving away penalties.

"We need to treat this game as the final match."

He said they had been working on their scrums and lineouts before the big game today.

Voka made his Test debut for the Flying Fijians in June 2016 against Italy in Suva
