$4m for residential lots

NEW residential lots for low and high income earners are expected to be developed in Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of a $4 million housing project in Tavua yesterday, Housing Minister Parveen Kumar said in the Western Division, the residential lots for high income earners would be developed at Natadola.

"I am pleased to announce that 370 offer letters for residential lots in Matavolivoli, Nadi, is being sent out," he said.

"You will be pleased to know that 70 acres of land is being developed with a total of 534 residential lots.

"Out of that, a total of 100 lots will be delivered by September this year and the balance of 434 lots to be delivered in September, 2019.

"Development works have commenced in Davuilevu of 119 acres where 754 lots will be developed.

"As many as 301 residential lots will be completed by August this year. The remaining lots will be completed by September, 2019.

"Our next priority is providing 109 lots in Tovata, 172 lots in Nepani and 620 lots in Veikoba which are expected to take place soon.

"Development works will also take place in Natadola, major subdivisions in Sigatoka and Savusavu and even more subdivisions in Tavua."
