RIO Olympics gold medallist Kitione Taliga will be using the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament, this weekend, to reclaim his spot in the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team.

The utility backline player was back at his usual best helping the Tokatoka Westfield Dragons team to win the Senibiau 7s competition in Tavua over the weekend.

Taliga is expected to feature strongly for the Saunaka-based team in his quest to help the team win the top prizemoney and to force his way back into the national 7s team.

The Dratabu-native of Nadi, who helped the Fiji 7s team create history at the Rio Olympics, will be one of the players to watch during the two-day event.

Meanwhile, another former Fiji 7s player, aiming to stamp his mark this weekend, is Taliga's Dragons teammate Sainivalati Ramuwai.

The duo combined well at the recent Senibiua 7s clash and will give their best to produce the goods for the team.

Other top teams to battle for the top award include defending champion Cross of Victory Taveuni, Bayleys Coral Coast 7s champion - Police, Raka 7s champion - Ratu Felise, Nasinu 7s champion - Wardens and Natakala 7s champion - Tabadamu.

Host team Nawaka, which was the runner-up to the Tokatoka Westfield Dragons at the Senibiau 7s competition will also be out to win its own tournament.

The tournament will be played at Prince Charles Park on Friday and Saturday.
