Feeding the needy

Sunday, February 18, 2018

NEEDY and homeless individuals need the support of the people, communities and corporate organisations.

One such organisation that gave a helping hand to the needy in Suva yesterday was Paradise Beverage Fiji Ltd.

The company's sports and social club took up the initiative to feed the homeless around the Capital City.

Paradise Beverages Fiji Ltd sales and marketing manager Joseph Rodan Sr said the sports and social club was giving back to the community, especially the needy and the homeless as part of their projects.

"This is one of the projects we do every year. We have about 12 projects throughout the year, and feeding the homeless is one of those," he said.

"For the month of February, the project involves feeding the homeless. There are about 202 homeless people in Fiji and this is our way of trying to help out."

He said apart from this, the company would also visit charitable organisations such as the Dilkhusha Girls Home, Father Law Home and St Christopher's Home.

Each homeless individual was given two packs of food and coffee as part of the goodwill drive.
