TOP clubs are expected to compete in the fourth Island Pacific Apparel Futsal Carnival at the Nadi Muslim College ground from February 24-25.

The tournament which was scheduled to be played last November, was postponed because of unfavourable weather.

Teams such as Northpole Friends, 4R Electric Ba, Dhanji Boys and Red Devils will compete in the event.

The tournament is co-sponsored by Hai's Autoport Canada Limited.

Tournament co-ordinator Nadeem Mohammed said the pool draws would be conducted at the Nadi Muslim College hall at 6pm tomorrow.

"We have invited Nadi Football Association president Javed Ahmed as chief guest," he said.

"The winner of the main competition will receive $2000 with the Late Mohammed Raffique Trophy and 15 medals.

"The runner-up will get $1000, a trophy and medals.

"The winner of the Lalesh Rovin Singh Masters category will receive $400 and a trophy. There will also be an under-17 category sponsored by Sports World.

"Futsal is a growing sport in the country and helps in developing the skills of the footballers."
