Update: 12:53PM WITH the objective of shaping children to live a life free of corruption, the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) together with the Ministry of Education (MOE) launched the first pilot phase of the National Anti-Corruption Curriculum (NACC) in the North on Tuesday.

A total of 16 teachers from eight schools in the North attended the introductory workshop - held at the Labasa Town Council Chambers - with FICAC officers and the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) of the MOE.

According to the manager Corruption Prevention for FICAC, Kolora Naliva, the problem of corruption is one of the biggest global issues and is becoming one of the greatest challenges facing our nation and society at large today.

"The one-day workshop is designed to assist teachers to familiarise themselves with the contents of the National Anti-Corruption Resource Manual designed and developed by FICAC and MOE," Ms Naliva said.
