SIMON Reddy teamed up with Tony Cen to take out the Phil's Autoport-sponsored North West Billiards and Snooker Association (NWBSA) doubles tournament at the Lautoka Club.

Reddy and Cen defeated Rahil Prasad and Suresh Chauhan in the two frame aggregate final. In the semi-finals Reddy and Cen defeated Humayun Khan and Vinesh Prasad while Rahil and Chauhan beat the combination of Vikrant Sharma and Yogen Prasad.

Chauhan, who is the NWBSA president, said the tournament proved to be interesting.

He said there were many good pairing which made the contests tight.

"The response was high for our opening tournament," Chauhan said.

"Next on the calendar is the league competition which starts on March 3. Simla Dragons will defend the league title.

"The Dragons will be boosted by Rahil who is ranked number four in the country."
