BOARD chairperson of Housing Authority Umarji Musa says the authority endured many challenges in the past years while trying to deliver products and services for Fijians and at the same time deliver on its corporate responsibility.

Mr Musa made the comment while briefing the Attorney-General and Minister for Public Enterprises, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, on HA housing development projects prior to the announcement of the bonus payout for non-management staff of the HA at Valelevu yesterday.

"As I speak a number of land development projects have been undertaken simultaneously at unprecedented pace and would like to thank Government for its unwavering support."

He said Government support was acknowledged for the Nepani land development with 175 lots, Davuilevu with 730 lots, Tavakubu with 530 lots and Koronisalusalu in Tavua with 119 lots.

"All told, 1554 lots will be available within the next 12 to 18 months," he said.

Mr Musa said apart from these, the Matavolivoli project with 400 lots, had been completed and the HA was in the process of allocating lots to individual customers.
