Trading high in January

THE South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE), in its January 2018 Monthly Stock Trading Report says the year 2018 started on a high note as the active trading activity visible in December 2017 continued into the New Year.

The SPSE said VB Holdings Ltd (VBH) added to the hype in trading after a special crossing transaction was executed between two related parties involving 356,285 VBH shares totaling $1,603,283 in value. The VBH one-off trade was supplemented by high volume trades recorded for Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Ltd (ATH), Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Ltd (PBF) and Free Bird Institute Ltd (FBL) shares.

In total, the amount of $2,751,220 was realised in 93 trades involving 659,902 shares in January 2018 which represented a marked increase when compared with the January 2017 figures which had only 58,852 shares traded for $153,635 over 43 transactions.
