Weather watch: Mariners advised against unnecessary travel

Update: 8:11PM POLICE officers in the Northern Division today attended to four rescue operations where strong winds and waves had capsized small boats.

With the strong wind still in place, Fiji Police acting chief operations officer ACP Maretino Qiolevu has advised mariners to take necessary and safety precautions.

ACP Qiolevu said small boat operators must put off all unnecessary travel during this period.

"This is a worry and we are again emphasising the need to adhere to the weather advisories," he said.
