JAPAN-BASED Semisi Masirewa wants to play for Fiji if he gets a chance.

The 25-year-old Taveuni boy who is in the country for a break said he would love to play for Fiji 7s and 15s team if he got the opportunity to do so.

Masirewa, who plays for the Western Force is in the country to wed his partner Lara Kruger.

"I am happy with this season as it went well and for a couple of years I've been busy with the Super Rugby, club games with no break," he said.

Masirewa said he normally returns home after two weeks.

"When I head back after that two weeks it's straight in to training and the games," he said.

"Last year straight after Super Rugby, I went into the top league rugby competition in Japan with the seasons already started, so I had no break to come back home, but It was good that the season was shorter when I went to Japan."

Masirewa said his body needed a break so he decided to stay out of Super Rugby this year.

"My plan is to come home and spend a month here and to also celebrate my wedding with my partner," he said.

"My plans after the wedding would more family time and my plans on rugby would be whatever team approaches me first Fiji, Japan, Australia I will take that opportunity."

Masirewa said at this stage he would play club rugby at Japan.

"My main goal is to play 7s or 15s and to represent the country," he said.

When asked to give his thoughts regarding the Fiji 7s team Masirewa said, he doesn't have any as he saw that the team had performed really well.

"The only thing I would say is for them to keep up their performance and maintain it," he said.
