FORMER Coca-Cola Games girls' champion Jasper Williams High School has placed a media ban for this year's preparation.

Team manager Kelera Kalou yesterday confirmed media ban was in place on their inter-house, zone and Fiji finals preparation.

She said the matter had been agreed during their school meeting.

"There will be a media ban for this year's inter- house, zone and Coca-Cola Games preparation," said Kalou.

Photographers who took pictures of the athletes were not supplied with the names of the athletes for publications.

However, school principal Vikashni Sharma later told this newspaper that there was no media ban.

She said Kalou was the only one allowed for the interview.

"There is no media ban and Kalou is the only one allowed for the interview," said Sharma.

Lautoka secondary schools athletics president Jupendra Narayan refused to comment on the issue. Jasper won the Coca-Cola Games girls' title in 2014, 2015 and 2016 but lost grip of the title to Adi Cakobau School last year.
