THIRTY-TWO schools will be part of the anti-corruption curriculum pilot phase program to be launched by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Ministry of Education next week.

FICAC communications officer Nandni Vandhana said 16 primary schools and 16 secondary schools from the three divisions around the country would be part of the pilot phase exercise.

She said Year 5 to Year 13 students would be engaged.

"This means that 64 teachers will go through an introductory session with FICAC, where FICAC will be producing them with a toolkit which includes the resource manual for Year 5 to 13 and they also go through initial stages of training," she said.

The anti-corruption studies would be incorporated into English, social science, accounting and history textbooks.

"FICAC and the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) of the MOE will provide training for the teachers on how to conduct the anti-corruption studies in the school, this will be in the subjects of English, social science, accounting and history."
