A LABASA man who assaulted a relative was produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday.

The man appeared before Magistrate Senileba Levaci.

The court reminded the accused that if he reoffended, he would spend five months in prison.

The accused was given a suspended sentence

Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man, also of Labasa, appeared in court for dangerous driving.

The man sought forgiveness from the court and promised not to re-offend.

He told the court he had three children who were all married and he lived with his family in Waiduri, Labasa.

The case will be called again on February 27.
