THE February sitting of Parliament is postponed to March. Speaker Dr Jiko Luveni made the ruling after considering the engagement of government ministers next month. Dr Luveni said Fiji would host the 20th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers Meeting (CCEM), scheduled for February 19 to 23 in Nadi.

She said the sitting was being postponed because of the level of commitment and engagement of ministers and their ministries for the CCEM.

Dr Luveni said the March sitting would be for two weeks.

"The Parliament sittings for February and March will be held concurrently, under the new dates of Monday, March 5 to Friday, March 16, 2018," she said.
