Update: 5:00PM THE high demand in Land Transport Authority customer services has forced the authority to open new offices in the Western Division.

Acting Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Jone Usamate said plans were in the pipeline for establishing these offices.

He said LTA will be refurbishing the office in Nadi for fully fledge operations.

"LTA currently has 20 offices nationwide and in order to make its services more accessible and visible to the members of the public, plans are in the pipeline for the LTA to establish more offices according to demands in the particular areas," Mr Usamate said.

"Apart from this, Lautoka city will also have a LTA Express Office soon."

Mr Usamate has urged LTA officers to maintain their work standards and continue to serve customers to the best of their ability.

"It gives me great pleasure to see that the LTA is steering in a new era for good governance, work standardization and increased professionalism which is enhancing the quality of LTA's delivery of customer services. This must be maintained and enhanced."
