Ministry must be clear on its role: Koroivueta

Sunday, January 14, 2018

Update: 4:21PM IT was essential for all government officials to be aware and familiarize themselves with the values for Civil Services and the Fijian Government's aim.

Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Josefa Koroivueta said this while visiting the Social Welfare and Women's offices in the Western Division last week.

"I aim to visit all field offices of the ministry as we just started with the new year, so we can thank them for last year's performance and show support and encourage them and work as a team which will improve their service delivery in 2018," Dr Koroivueta said.

He said the motive of the visits was to enable him to have face-to-face discussions with the ministry staff.

"Government officials should take responsibility in organizing and facilitating the work programme as we are all striving to achieve a common goal of building a better Fiji and to leave no one behind," he said.

Dr Koroivueta said the Ministry must be clear on its role and delivery of service to effectively contribute to the achievement of the overall goal of the Fijian Government.?
