ANOTHER world-class 7s rugby star is in the making for the Fiji.

Kinijoji Lagilagi could come out as one of the players from Fiji's domestic 7s rugby competition to be the best.

He is six feet two inches tall and could be one of the players to reckon with in the future.

Lagilagi, 23, will compete for First Light Taveuni in the 2018 Mana Whey Coral Coast Fiji 7s tournament which starts on Friday.

"My height is my biggest advantage. It helps me to contest line-outs and retain the ball during kick offs and restarts.

"My aim is to make it to the Fiji 7s team and impress coach Gareth Baber," the Namuka-i-Lau giant said.

"I used to play for Uluinakau last year and this year I made the switch to First Light Taveuni and I am looking forward to the tournament.

"I am good at hunting for the ball at the rucks which I consider as one of my strengths.

"My dream is to don the white jersey before securing a contract overseas."

First Light Taveuni president Maika Levaci said Lagilagi had a lot of potential.

"He is one of our key men for the Coral Coast 7s.

"He joined the squad last year after playing with Uluinakau 7s in the past years," Levaci said.

"Kinijoji has a lot of potentials to become a national 7s player in future as it is just a matter of time before he is spotted by the coach Gareth Baber.

"We have reached top four in the recent competitions.

"He got the physical attributes for 7s.

"He can become one of the top forwards in the Fiji 7s team with his skills and speed which he shows on the field.

"I believe Baber is looking for tall players and he should look at him."
