Lodge formal complaint with ministry: Akbar

Saturday, January 13, 2018

Update: 12:30PM The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is always open to members of the public should they wish to raise their concerns and complaints with the ministry.

Health Minister Rosy Akbar reiterated this while addressing members of the media during the launch of Courts' Health and Fitness Awareness month in Suva earlier today.

"I would like to emphasize at this point in time that the Ministry is always open to the general public in terms of any concerns or complaints they might have about our services," Ms Akbar said.

"Some might resort to social media and other platforms to raise their concerns but once again I would like to reiterate that our policy is simple, for us to investigate any case, we need the families or individuals to approach us and to lodge a formal complaint whereby the Ministry of Health will then take appropriate measures to resolve the grievances."

Ms Akbar said members of the public are also advised to contact their customer care health helpline by dialing 157 from their phones voice their queries.

"The Ministry takes all the views and concerns seriously and will address it in a timely and transparent manner," she said.
