AUSTRALIA-BASED boxer Brent Dames will arrive into the country at the end of the month to fight World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific Super Lightweight title holder Sebastian "The Sniper" Singh next month in Suva.

Westwood Boxing promoter Praneel Dass said the fight would be one of a kind for the boxing fans in the country.

"The program has been sanctioned by the Boxing Commission of Fiji and the preparation is well in progress and there are no hiccups," Dass said.

"Dames will be arriving into the country two days before the fight and we are trying to get him on Wednesday and then have a press conference at the weigh-in."

Dass said he had spent a lot to get boxing back on track.

"It is definitely not a cheap program," he said.

"Whenever there is an overseas opponent we have to pay for airfares and accommodation and the bill keeps on adding.

"It is not a cheap program and the venue which we have chosen is very expensive.

"We are trying to give boxing fans a different feel from the past years."

The promotion will be held at Novotel Suva Lami Bay convention centre on February 2.
