ETICKETING top up machines have been installed at Wailevu District in Cakaudrove.

Vodafone Fiji Ltd confirmed that machines were installed last week.

"We have last week installed an top up machine at Laucala Village, which will cover Qaleni and Naiqiqi villages," product manager eticket Praneel Chand said. "There are few more areas identified and we are working on those areas."

Villagers of this district had complained about the unavailability of e-ticket machines in the area which has forced many to share bus cards.

Laucala Village headman Nemani Qolikoro, in an interview two weeks ago, said villagers faced this problem since the introduction of the eTransport system.

He said many had to travel two hours by bus to Savusavu Town to top up eTransport cards.

"There is no top up machine in this area and sometimes, those who don't have enough money in their cards have to beg the drivers to just get into the bus," Mr Qolikoro said earlier.
