SUVA-BASED customers will not have to travel far, instead they can access Land Transport Authority services at the new Suva Express Office which opened at the My FNPF Center in Suva yesterday.

Acting Minister for Transport Jone Usamate, while speaking at the opening ceremony, said the new office would provide more efficient, customer friendly and easily accessible services to LTA's valuable customers.

"It gives me great pleasure to see that the LTA is steering in a new era for good governance, work standardisation and increased professionalism which is enhancing the quality of LTA's delivery of customer services. This must be maintained and enhanced," he said.

"I look forward to this office providing those in Suva City accessibility to LTA services."

LTA board chairperson Vijay Maharaj said the new office would provide better accessible services and help LTA connect with their daily customers.

"LTA is dedicated towards investing in its staff to ensure better efficiency and improved customer service delivery."

The services provided at the new office will include payment of vehicle inspections fees, vehicle registration fees (wheel tax for post inspected vehicle), driver license renewal, payment of TINs or fine, search records, fee payment, booking and results queries for defensive driving course and others.

Meanwhile, the Suva LTA Express Office will be operational from Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.
