FICAC roadshow targets increased awareness

Friday, December 08, 2017

Update: 2:17PM HUNDREDS of people took advantage of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption's (FICAC) roadshow held at the Government Information and Referral Centre in Suva today.

FICAC communications officer Nandini Vandhana said the roadshow coincided with the International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD), which was celebrated earlier this week.

The event is also an opportunity for staff to create more public awareness on the issue.

"This is part of the IACD activities and today we are conducting 32 roadshows around the country and we have mobilised ourselves around the four divisions, not only in towns and cities but also in remote areas and communities," Ms Vandhana said.

She said people who had queries could address those with FICAC, or personally seek advice from FICAC officers.

Ms Vandhana said officers also used the opportunity to meet the people and empower them to join the fight against corruption.
