Veterans in top title race

LAUTOKA Printery will defend the North West Billiards and Snooker Association (NWBSA) business house knock out snooker tournament at the Lautoka Club tomorrow.

The side has retained the players which won the inaugural event last year. Veteran player and NWBSA president Suresh Chauhan will lead Lautoka Printery which has the services of Ajesh Chand and Vinesh Prasad.

Each team has been allowed to register only two A grade players.

Suresh said nine teams would be competing in the knockout event.

"We will be introducing the triples format," he said.

"This will be played for the first time. There will also be one singles frame and a doubles frame to be played.

"There are some good combinations with top A grade players such as Nitesh Chand and Rahil Prasad."

The winning team will receive $300. The runner-up will get $150 while the losing finalists get $120 each.
