Final golf event

THE Lautoka Golf Club is heading towards the official 2017 season closing by hosting a bonus 18 holes individual stroke event generously sponsored by Longrun (Fiji) on Saturday.

Lautoka Golf Club chairman of trustees Raymond Singh said: "The event has been previously played under the Reddy Dimond Group of Companies name for over 15 years and thanked the managing Director Ram Reddy for his continued support towards LGC," he said.

"Reddy himself is an avid and competitive golfer who will be gracing the Golf Links course with lucrative prizes up for grabs in the overall, A,B,C, juniors and beginners category."

After a very successful Lautoka Open Championship the Club anticipated a field of over 60 golfers to participate as a prelude to the official season closing and presentation night sponsored by Gecko Trucking and P.Meghji Ltd on Saturday December 23rd .

Top contenders includes James Krishna, Suren Pillay, Gaffar Ali, Zabir Ali, Bobby Reddy, Prem Chand, Anil Kumar and Shiro Mani of Canada. Other golfers to make the cut includes Captain Bill Gardiner, James Leger, Richard Eyre, Wiliki Takeiveikata, Abdul Jalal, Josese Wara, Tevita, Alex Mako, Drauniniu, Ashneel Kumar and Senitiki Cakau.
