5 Drua players join Fiji 7s

FIVE Fiji Airways Drua players will join the Fiji 7s team in camp today.

Coach Gareth Baber would not release the names of the players yet.

"Yes, I will be bringing some of the Drua players since their competition is complete and the intention is to get some of the players into the squad since they have done well in the National Rugby Championship," he said.

"They will be part of the squad. The Central Coast 7s, Silicon 7s and Germany 7s were good foundations for us to pick out our weaknesses and the players really played well over the weekend.

"It also gave me an opportunity to move players around while trying our different combinations. I was happy that what we worked on during training, the players showed them on the field."

With two weeks to go for the Dubai 7s, Baber will be working on their attack and defence.

Baber added it will all come down to the individual players' performances.

The players were on break yesterday and will return to camp today to continue their training for the rest of the week.
