MANUBHAI Industries Limited is no stranger to the local manufacturing industry.

The company is one of the country's leading manufacturers of expanded polystyrene, polyethylene rope, special density foam mattress, most of plastic wares and vacuum forming products.

The company was recently honoured at the 2017 Fiji Business Excellence Awards for its commitment to excellence.

MIL Navneel Reddy factory manager said even though the company was a first-time winner at this annual awards, their commitment to business excellence had been a long term journey.

"Our products are ISO 9001 certified to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and enforce quality Fijian made products," he said.

"We manufacture foams of various densities to best suit our customers' need, as such our products are second to none.

"Our range of products caters for various sectors ranging from domestic, industrial, tourism, retail outlets and the hospitality sector," he said.

Mr Reddy said the company, that's been in operation for 38 years, was grateful for the recognition from the Fiji National University.

He said they were satisfied with the achievement because it now sets the benchmark for improvements in the future.

"We attribute this win to all our employees for without their hard work and commitment, we would not have been able to win this award.

"We would like thank the board of directors of R C Manubhai Group of Companies and the entire HR team for their faith in us and providing the facilities for us to achieve the award.

"The awards have been a great platform for us to see where we stand as an organisation.

"It enables us to see areas of improvement that needs to be looked at in order to uplift our organisation's performance and to meet the Fiji business excellence standards and stand as a proud campaigner of excellence in Fiji Business."
