IT will be an East vs West battle during the semi-finals of the 2017 Courts Inter District Championship at Churchill Park in Lautoka tomorrow.

This is after Lautoka scored a late winner against Nadi to top Group A last night finishing ahead of Suva.

Lautoka defeated Nadi 1-0 with Zibraaz Sahib scoring from the penalty spot in injury time after striker Valerio Nawatu was brought down inside the box.

Lautoka will play Rewa in the first semi-final while Ba will take on Suva in the other encounter.

Ba topped Group B with Rewa finishing as the runner-up.

A new winner will be crowned in the tournament after Labasa was bundled out following the 1-all draw against Rewa.

Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy said Nadi came out to prove themselves with determination and strength.

Swamy said they needed to rectify many mistakes made in the past two games after the impressive opening round win against Suva.

Player of day three prize went to Iowane Teba (Senior Division-Savusavu) Shahil Dave (Premier Division-Suva).

Day Three Results:

Rakiraki 2 Lami 1; Nadroga 1 Savusavu 0; Navua 2 Seaqaqa 1; Tailevu Naitasiri 1 Nadogo 0; Suva 3 Tavua 1; Ba 2 Dreketi 2; Labasa 1 Rewa 1; Lautoka 1 Nadi 0.

Senior Division semi-finals: 10am Navua-Savusavu, 12pm Nadroga-Tailevu Naitasiri; Premier Division semi-finals: 3pm Lautoka-Rewa, 5pm Ba-Suva.
