Farewell for duo

Monika Singh
Wednesday, October 11, 2017

EXECUTIVE members of the Fiji-New Zealand Business Council held a farewell function for outgoing president of the council at the New Zealand high commissioner to Fiji's residence on Tuesday evening.

FNZBC president Craig Strong and NZ High Commissioner to Fiji Mark Ramsden were surrounded by colleagues and friends at the function.

Mr Strong said: "The fact that both Mark and I are being bid farewell simultaneously exemplifies in an ironic way the close collaboration between the council and the NZ High Commission. It was a great opportunity for us to say Haere Ra to his excellency and for me to say 'moce mada' to the council."

"Mark Ramsden has been a true champion for our council. His enthusiasm for partnering with the business council and his proactivity to ensure that our members have been given every opportunity to engage with the NZ Government has been quite simply outstanding. We wish him and his Whanau all the best as they begin the next chapter of their life's journey in Ethiopia."
