Landowners told to seek advice from right people

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Update: 6:41PM ITAUKEI landowners have been urged to always seek advice from the right people.

Speaking to villagers on Kadavu island during a talanoa session, Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou reassured the landowners that their land ownership will be always secured under the leadership of the Fijian Government.

Mr Tuitubou highlighted that the 2013 Constitution fully protects iTaukei landowners and their land will only be used if landowners give their consent.

He also called on youths and those present to follow the laws and regulations of the land and seek police assistance if they have any problems.
