No illegal flag reports

THE Ministry of Fisheries says it has no records of Asian boats illegally flying the Fiji flag.

Permanent secretary for Ministry of Fisheries Sanaila Naqali made the comment in response to international media reports st­a­ting Fiji, with Interpol and the Singapore-based regional shipping regulator Tokyo MoU, were investigating the vessels for links to North Korea.

The reports said Fiji had identified 20 falsely flagged ships suspected of links to North Korea.
