Sunday, September 24, 2017

HEALTH and Medical Services Minister Rosy Akbar said urgent measures were being taken to address issues raised by Acting Prime Minister, Attorney-General and Minister for Civil Service Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum about human resource processes within the Health Ministry.

It is understood, Mr Sayed-Khaiyum, made the comments early last week in relation to concerns raised by Health Ministry staff members about the issuing of contracts and slow response to advertisements for various positions.

Responding to questions from the media at a press conference in Ba yesterday, Mrs Akbar said Mr Sayed-Khaiyum was in the best position to make any comment in regards to civil service issues.
