Ex-cop fronts court

A FORMER divisional police commander Southern who is alleged to have indecently assaulted a female police officer will know whether he has to take the stand for his defence or not on October 2.

This is when Magistrate Kashyapa Wickramasekara will deliver his ruling on an application for a no case to answer by the accused.

Isei Vueti is charged with one count of indecent assault and one count of indecently annoying a person.

The alleged offence happened on August 8, 2013 while the accused was serving as the police head for the Southern Division.
