FIJIANS living in earthquake devastated Mexico City have thanked God for bringing them through yesterday's powerful earthquake.

As of last night, there were 149 people confirmed dead.

The death toll from the magnitude 7.1 disaster is expected to increase as first responders and other rescuers continue to comb the rubble of the Mexican capital in search of survivors and victims.
