LCC: Clean your mess

Margaret Wise
Tuesday, September 19, 2017

THE Lautoka City Council is calling for the responsible use of public parks and spaces after Nadovu Park in Natokowaqa was left strewn with rubbish after its use by a religious youth group on Sunday.

The park, which is located along the Queens highway, was left littered with discarded plastic, food wrappers, soft drink bottles and scattered trash from overflowing bins.

Council CEO Jone Nakauvadra said organisations could face repercussions for not cleaning up their mess.

"People who leave their rubbish behind forget that we will still be here the next time they need to use these public spaces," he said.
