More families to receive registered land leases

Update: 2:09PM A NUMBER of families living along Omkar Settlement in Narere, Nasinu, will be issued registered land leases later today.

The leases will be issued by acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at the CRC Church Hall in Nasinu at 6pm.

Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources Faiyaz Koya will also be present at the event to meet residents before the commencement of the official program.

As of April this year, a total of 788 expired land leases were renewed by the Lands Ministry. 

Also, more than 200 agricultural and residential land leases were issued by Mr Koya in the Western Division last week.
