Bus fire probe

Aqela Susu
Wednesday, September 13, 2017

THE Land Transport Authority is conducting investigations into the recent bus fires in Sigatoka and Nausori.

This was confirmed by its chief executive officer Carmine Piantedosi.

A Tebara bus caught fire at the roundabout past Nausori Village early this month, just two weeks after a Pacific Transport bus was also destroyed in a fire at Malaqereqere in Sigatoka.

"We have ongoing investigations at the moment and the investigations report has not been completed yet," said Mr Piantedosi.

It is alleged that the Tebara bus was just given the clear by LTA the day before it caught fire.
