Driver faces death charge

THE 24-year-old man alleged to have caused the death of a Bangladesh national in a car accident on Saturday morning has been further remanded in custody.

Simione Ubitau appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza in the Magistrates Court in Nasinu yesterday.

He is charged with one count each of dangerous driving occasioning death, driving a motor vehicle while there was present in the blood a concentration of alcohol in excess of the prescribed limit and dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm.
