Tuiwainikai: The family unit is falling apart

THE attitude that parents have towards their children is what they will learn and live with for the rest of their lives, says Ms Satya Building and Contractors Marica Tuiwainikai.

Being the youngest contestant at this year's Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North and the winner of the queen's best research topic, Ms Tuiwainikai said modern society had begun to lose its values and respect for one another.

The 18-year-old Holy Family Secondary School student said this was so because the basic foundation of any society — the family unit — was falling apart.
