HUNDREDS of families and friends gathered along Carpenter St in Raiwai, Suva yesterday to witness the annual Vodafone Hibiscus Festival 2017 float procession and to cheer for their favourite contestant.

Kau Biumaitotoya was among the many who lined the streets leading to the Vodafone Arena in Laucala Bay yesterday to catch a glimpse of this year's Hibiscus contestants and their floats.

Mr Biumaitotoya travelled all the way from Labasa with his two children to be part of the festival for the first time.
