IT was a sweet victory for Ratu Kadavulevu School after they scooped the under-19 crown defeating Lelean Memorial School 14-13 in an intense game at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

Lelean led 13-0 in the first half. Their points from a penalty to fly half Waisale Nayavucere and a try to flanker Frank Usakisuva to lead 8-0. After RKS centre Netani Narisia was sent to the sin bin, Lelean scored their second try to wing Netani Vakayalia in the 29th minute.

The boys from Lodoni came firing back in the second half and this saw them scoring their first try to Netani Momo which was converted to close the gap 13-7.

Two yellow cards to Lelean saw the boys from Delainakaikai lift their performance and managed to score their second try to fly half Serupepeli Cokanasiga in the 17th minute in to the second half.

The conversion was successful and they toook the lead 14-13.

RKS coach John Levy said the boys deserved to win because they lost out in the semi-final last year.

"They have created a legacy for them winning the under-19 and meeting Lelean we have so much respect for them as they beat us in the pool games and the final of the zone," Levy said.

"It's a win for rugby as for the boys they have been losing every year and this win is gold for us,"

LMS coach Seremaia Bai was very disappointed with the boys reactions after the game but was content with what the boys had achieved.
