ST Joseph The Worker Primary School under-14 regrouped to defeat St John Bosco 20-0 to defend their title during the Nasinu Kaji rugby competition.

Coach Tito Daurewa said the players had been instrumental in all their pool games.

"We have a good team, good size and a well-structured players who can play rugby," Daurewa said.

He said because of frequent rainy weather they had to stop their training sessions because of muddy grounds.

"We lost more time of training and the only thing that we can do is to regroup and they really did well considering the fact of the less time of training.

"We would like to thank our trainer for giving his time to help us prepare for our weekend games. So far it's the parents support that we need, we've noticed that without the parents support the boys can't perform in the sense they lose their morale during game day. These are kids and seeing plenty support will surely get them motivated and that is all we are asking," he said.
