RSMS U15s' aim

THE Ratu Sukuna Memorial School under-15 is aiming to win all their pool games after defeating Dudley High School 41-0 in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Southern Zone competition.

The team has already won two games.

Coach Brian Foy said winning two games and losing one to Suva Grammar School taught them a good lesson on how to handle pressure.

"We won over Marist Brothers High School and now Dudley and we're concentrating on the remaining games," Foy said.

He said they had improved on some areas such as their line-outs and scrums.

"We have to improve on our line-outs and this week we worked on our defence," he said.

"The only thing that needs to be improved is our kicking game and how we take on the pressure," he said.

He said most of their players were newcomers and were not given enough time to train together.

"This team went up to the final last year in the under-14 grade.

"But most of the players have gone, so we have a bunch of new players from the Kaji competition last year," he said.

"Another thing is that the competition is getting tougher. In the first week we faced SGS and Marist, but we treated all our games as final.

"Our target now is to reach the final and we're calling on the support from former scholars and parents.

Meanwhile, in the U18 grade, Marist defeated Ratu Sukuna Memorial School 36-6 and Nasinu Secondary defeated Monfort Boys Town 20-12.
