ONE of the country's largest retail companies opened its 47th store at the Rup's Mall in Nakasi yesterday with the aim to provide the people in the area with a better shopping experience at a convenient location.

Jack's of Fiji area manager central Madan Krishna said they chose Rup's Nakasi Mall because it was a major one-stop centre for shopping development in Nakasi with a large residential area.

Mr Krishna yesterday said they had initially planned to open the store on May 18 and since they were ready, they decided to hold a soft opening for the new store.

People were already at the store by mid morning and Mr Krishna confirmed that many used the opportunity to buy clothes and other accessories available at the store.

Mr Krishna said Suva-Nausori was a busy corridor with densely populated areas and the location of the store would give people the chance to stop over and shop.

The store opens from 9.30am to 9pm and Mr Krishna said the times would coincide with the cinema which was scheduled to open soon.

Mr Krishna said the store had provided employment to more than 80 people.

"We carry a wide range of quality products at very competitive prices. We have catered for a wide demography of customers. So if any customer would like to buy fashion wear for men, ladies and kids, accessories or sporting gear, Jack's of Fiji is the place to be.

"We also have our Little India destination in-store for the latest in elegant India wear."

Meanwhile the Jack's of Fiji outlet in Central Suva and MHCC are undergoing renovations and Mr Krishna said the newlook stores would open soon and offer exciting new shopping experiences in the near future.
