HEXAGON Group of Hotels is repositioning itself in the market with focus on its own brand, says chairperson Hafiz Khan.
Mr Khan made the statement in a press release yesterday when he announced that the franchise arrangement with Best Western was drawing to a close at the end of April.
"I thank Best Western for their support and advice over the years of this association," Mr Khan said.
He said the Hexagon Group was confident of its brand and standards in their three hotels i.e. the Suva Motor Inn in Suva, the Hexagon International Hotel Villas and Spa in Nadi and the Grand West's Villas.
Mr Khan said to keep pace with their customers' expectations all three hotels' facilities and rooms were being earmarked for upgrading; the work had already commenced in two hotels and would be an ongoing project for all three hotels and they had recruited qualified Filipino staff in this renovation and upgrade project.
"The group's hotels enjoy loyal support from its customers both local and overseas based and many have been with the Group's hotels for conferences, business stays and for leisure."
Meanwhile Mr Khan said the group was looking at welcoming its fourth property on Sigatoka's Coral Coast beachfront.
"The Yadua Bay Resort and Spa, an integrated resort development project scheduled for opening in October 2017.
"Construction works on this boutique resort are well on schedule. The group is also developing a 27-acre commercial/resident project at Davuilevu near Nausori and again construction works are progressing well," he said.
Mr Khan said the group would start rolling out its own loyalty program and attractive packages and incentives in the near future.
He said with the rebranding, upgrade and new strategies the group was well positioned to take advantage of the growth in the economy and in particular the accommodation and tourism sector.
