Young and old celebrate Fiji Day

Update: 12:18PM THE streets of Suva were buzzing with excitement this morning as hundreds marched through town to Suvas Albert Park to be part of Fijis 44th Independence Day anniversary celebrations.

All people old and young from all parts of the country - came to be part of the annual event, most of whom were wearing bright blues and whites, and some even sporting blue hair.

Also present were Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama, President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and a number of other ministers, members of the diplomatic corps and foreign ambassadors.
