Natuva Pre-polling centre opens as voting begins

Update: 1:00PM PRE-POLLING is in progress at some villages in the interior of Tailevu.

 Elections officials and international observers arrived at the pre-polling venue at Natuva Village in a helicopter.

There were some delays and pre-polling started at the village at about 11am.

According to Natuva villagers, there are 96 registered voters in the village, of which most have cast their votes by now.

Pre-polling at the nearby Nameka Village is scheduled to start at 3pm.
