Villagers walk two kilometres to vote at Dakuniba

Update: 2:00PM AROUND 50 voters cast their votes at Dakuniba Village in Cakaudrove this morning.

Villagers walked two kilometres from Niuwea, Vuninuku and Nasea villages to cast their votes. 

Other villagers hired boats to the polling station. 

Dakuniba village headman Selesitino Waqanibau said polling ended early as some registered voters for the station were away in Viti Levu.
